Our Story

We believe the best meals aren't just about food, they are about inspiration and the people who share your meals with you.
Cooking together has always been part of who we are. Some of our favorite family memories were made around a kitchen island, a backyard grill, or a crowded dinner table.
As we experimented with recipes and flavors, we wanted seasonings made with real ingredients that complemented good food rather than covered it up. We looked for blends that were simple, clean, and thoughtfully crafted, but they were often difficult to find.
So we began creating our own.
What started as a passion for cooking and sharing meals with family and friends eventually became Southern Sol, a collection of seasonings inspired by cooking from scratch, our love of our huge family and friend gatherings and the belief that some of life's best moments happen when eating together.
In 2012, we made a bold decision: we sold everything, moved into an RV, and hit the road to explore this beautiful country. Even in a small RV, cooking remained at the center of our lives. We transformed nearly half of it into a kitchen where we continued baking from scratch, experimenting with recipes, and gathering around homemade meals.
As we traveled, we found magic in every place we visited, family-owned restaurants, farmers markets, hidden cafes, and mom-and-pop gems that celebrated local flavor. Every bite, every story, every person we met inspired us to keep creating and sharing.
One day, our boys said:
“We want to set up a booth and sell our Jeddy’s at farmers markets.”
And just like that, the spark to share what we loved with others became something more.
After nearly three years on the road and farmers markets all over the country, we had the opportunity to open a café in Colorado for a friend's wellness company. For years, we had talked about how much we loved sharing our food, the joy it brought, and the sense of connection that happens around a shared meal. We dreamed of opening a restaurant where we could share that experience with others. Our friends helped turn that dream into a reality. Building and designing that space, feeding our community, and watching people fall in love with our food while enjoying time with the people around them was one of the most exhilarating experiences of our lives.
Eventually, life called us back to Florida, home to our extended family, and the place where our love for food and one another first ignited. We promised ourselves we wouldn’t let the dream fade. And from that promise, Southern Sol was born.

Florida is where our story began. We brought everything we’ve experienced over these years, our flavors, our inspirations, our lessons, and our hearts, back to the place our love began. Through our seasoning blends, recipes, and family creations, we hope you’ll feel the same joy and connection we’ve felt every step of the way.
