In the summer of 1999, Jeddy set out to create the barbecue seasoning he couldn't find anywhere else.
What started as a search for the perfect pork rub became the seasoning our family uses on nearly everything, from chicken, pork, beef, eggs, vegetables, Cuban recipes passed down from Jeddy's dad, holiday meals, and backyard gatherings filled with family and friends.
Before Southern Sol existed, there was Jeddy's.
For more than twenty years, this was the seasoning sitting beside our stove, shared only with family and friends. Eventually people started asking,
"What are you using? We just can't duplicate that flavor."
